After a long time, we're back again with our usual race recaps, GPG Supporters! Here's another edition of recapping your Formula 1 news!
At the high-altitude Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, Lando Norris powered from pole position to a commanding victory in the Mexico City Grand Prix, converting his grid-advantage into a lights-to-flag win and becoming the new leader in the 2025 Drivers’ Championship.

Starting from the front, Norris built a gap that proved unassailable, crossing the line more than 30 seconds ahead of runner-up Charles Leclerc, with Max Verstappen completing the podium in third.
Meanwhile, Norris’s teammate Oscar Piastri had a tougher weekend. Qualifying outside the top positions and finishing fifth, Piastri ceded the championship lead by a single point to Norris.

Turbulence Behind the Leader:
Behind the dominant performance, several dramatic moments shaped the race. An early battle at Turn 1 unsettled multiple drivers, and a later virtual safety car period compressed the field.
Safety concerns emerged as Liam Lawson narrowly avoided colliding with two marshals who entered the track unexpectedly after his pit stop. The incident triggered an investigation by the FIA.

Winners, Losers & Title Implications:
Norris’s dominance marks a turning point in the title fight — he now leads by the narrowest of margins, by one point, with Piastri chasing and Verstappen closing in.

Oliver Bearman impressed for Haas F1 Team with a career-best fourth place, showing composure and skill beyond his rookie status. The young Brit managed his race brilliantly, pulling off clean overtakes and keeping consistent pace to secure a crucial haul of points for Haas.

Meanwhile, Piastri’s slip in the championship standings adds extra pressure heading into the next rounds, where consistency will be key to reclaiming momentum in the title fight. Reflecting on the race, he admitted, “The whole race I was right behind someone and just struggling in dirty air… For me, the biggest thing is trying to learn the things I wanted to learn today,” acknowledging the challenges that cost him crucial points in Mexico.

Final Thoughts:
Norris’s Mexican Grand Prix was almost flawless — and in a season where every point counts, that performance may prove decisive. But with only a one-point gap at the top, the title is still wide open. Dramatic finishes, strategic gambles, and unexpected incidents will shape the remaining races: the question now is whether Norris can maintain momentum—or whether his rivals turn the tide.
